The Bingo event is coming in hot! On top of the current content we announced, the team wants to work on SkyBlock Events and game modes. Our first major game mode has arrived - Bingo.
► What is Bingo?
The more you participate in Community Goals, the more Bingo Points you'll gain at the end of the event. Each Goal rewards 1 Bingo Point. Completing a full row, column, or diagonal - getting a BINGO! - rewards you with an additional 5 Bingo Points!
► How do I play?
At the start of every month, starting December 1st, players will be able to talk
to Bingo in front of the Map in the Hub.
Bingo Profiles are similar to Ironman, there is no trading, no bazaar, no auction house, and you can't even spend Gems while playing Bingo. The important thing to remember is that Bingo profiles are temporary - they will be deleted at the end of the event.
During the first 7 days of the month you'll be able to complete as many Bingo goals as you want. Once the event is over your profile will disappear after a few days, but you'll have time to transfer a few items to your main profile in case you found something interesting.
All the Bingo Points that you earn during the event will be stored in your SkyBlock account. You can can spend them on any of your main profiles. Keep in mind that most of the shop rewards are Co-op Soulbound, so spend your Bingo points on whichever profile you prefer!
► Shop Rewards
Once you collected enough Bingo Points, you can spend them in the Bingo Shop, but some of the shop rewards are only obtainable after reaching higher Bingo Ranks. These Ranks are unlockable in the Bingo Shop, granting you access to more Bingo Shops items and changing the color of your Bingo profile icon that appears above your head and on the scoreboard.
The Bingo Event is meant for fun, which is why most of the shop rewards are cosmetic. But competitive players will find that there are items fit for showing off their progress. More items will be added for later Bingo events.
► Beta Season?
Everything might not be perfect during this first season. Goals could be unbalanced and reward costs may not be finely tuned. We will listen to feedback and try to improve the Event in the future.
If Bingo is popular, we will consider ways to expand the mode, including more types of goals and a co-op version.
Update on future content:
The Bingo update is indeed one of the secret features we teased in the 0.12.1 thread. Not much has changed regarding our plans since last time and we are still aiming to release a few things before the holidays. It's possible that SkyBlock Levels will have to wait for next year, however.
Most of our efforts are currently aimed towards the Nether Update. With every new island, we always try to up our game and we hope you won't be dissatisfied with this one. We still estimate that it will be finished in early 2022.
