Other Crashing out over One For All + Chat about x% increases

I dont play the game that much, but i wanted to make the item "precursor eye" decent against bosses cause i was bored.

Calculated things to the maximum, figured out various stats, found out i needed enchanting to increase by 6 levels, waited weeks to be able to apply and use it (im busy but made time here and there)

I finally got to it, and it Does Not scale your damage
It only scales melee and ability damage.

Thank you hypixel, please fix your description as it has wasted 10m+ coins and shattered a week of dreams and expectations.

It could just be a bug, but if not i feel absolutely robbed.

Unlike sharpness, it does not state "melee damage"

The only difference between this enchant and the other working additive enchants is one word.

Your.

how on earth do u figure out that Your Weapon deals more damage when its stated like this.

For proof, here are every other enchant which multiplies your damage, i have tested them all.

This is the ONLY deviation from the norm.

yeah but it’s an additive damage multiplier like sharpness

would you expect sharpness to buff precursor eye if you held a sword with it?

I am absolutely FUMING as it is the enchantment that makes or breaks my potential build.

I think i will outright quit if this happens with golden dragon,

the time i have spent doing checks and calculating is immense in comparison to what i could be doing (ie, working towards being a boring hyperion / juju non who follows a predetermined meta), and this was one of the few cornerstones of what I could do.

look at this thread for referencing the additive multipliers and precursor eye builds:

you didnt mention any enchantments at all, so i did my own testing

One for all is something out of the normality of enchantments (unless you want to argue that impaling, bane of anthropods, ender slayer, cubism, smite and swarm are bugged.)

when I say out of the normality, it is outside of the expectations, far enough outside that it limits its usefulness greatly.

Ontop of that, whenever something else has failed its because it specifies why it has, such as:
- Spiked Hook: "fishing rods deal x% more damage to sea creatures"
- Soul Eater: "your weapon gains #x the damage of..."
- First Strike: "Increase melee damage dealt by..."
- Thunderlord: "Every 3 hits on a monster..."

unlike the wording of:
- One For All: "... increases Your Damage by 500%"
without any visual indicator as to what your damage means

um… oops

true, I thought you said you already tested the enchantments
the basic ones, ultimate ones require higher enchantment levels and often cost crap tonns to buy

mainly cause this is the first time i have had more than 200m in my entire time playing skyblock and attempting to gain more for gdrag to complete this trainwreck of a build.

(the damage refers to damage as in the stat)
however:

i can CLEARLY see that there is no visual indicator nor reason why the "damage" stat is stated as that,
also, the damage stat of the sword is not modified in the slightest (go do research, its interesting)
i checked, trust me, it does not.

Nothing, including the damage part of the description mentions that it will be strictly linked to the damage that the weapon does.

all other, and when i say all, i mean ALL instances of the x% damage affect your damage output

ie. the final damage you deal with any source of damage which relates to you.

i'll extend the message stated below to make it slightly more clear:
if you want to make the argument that One For All works as intended and every other enchantment are the ones which are working incorrectly, please make a valid argument, heck a single valid point for that rather than just stating something which you have not checked, nor have proof for.

sometimes this does not apply, as it gives a CLEAR statement of what it is applying to but in the case of enchants and effects which DO NOT give a clear statement, it EFFECTS ALL DAMAGE

Examples:
- Swarm [Increases your damage by 2-10% for each enemy within 10 blocks. Maximum of 10 enemies.]
No History changes, cant confirm JACK for this through the wiki but it works the same as combo after testing.
- Combo [Increases your damage by +1-5% per kill up to 2-10 kills within 2-10s.]
Screen Shot 2025-04-23 at 8.40.07 am.png

- Giant Killer [Increases damage dealt by 0.1-1.2% for each percent of extra health that your target has above you up to 5-65%]
Screen Shot 2025-04-23 at 8.39.04 am.png

- Execute [Increases damage dealt by 0.2-1.25% for each percent of health missing on your target.]

Edit:
Sorry didnt address the precursor eye bit,

every other multiplicative and additive damage have applied so far, this is the largest and i dare say most impactful additive stat in the game, by it not working on precursor eye and others working (look above) it has me thinking that it:
- works in a different way to other enchantments
- has been purposely nerfed to not work with certain abilities
- is bugged beyond reason.

brother just move on
thanks for your input man, means a lot, no really.

Try interacting with this on an intellectual level and you might have fun man.

You may not think its important, but imagine this effect was spread throughout the game and all sorts of "x% damage" sources didnt work on abilities.

This would likely render hyperions quite weak in comparison to now as they would lose all support of enchantments, certain equipment, pets and a bunch of other stuff you might not realise (such as combat level)
heres some of the many examples currently in the game that do work

heres the only found instance that does not.

I am pretty sure there would be a lot more complaints and found effects if people researched damages and such, but right now thats the top 1% gamers who dont just slap "big number go up" on their items expecting it to do something (like brother, thunderlord on a hyperion?)
