Personal Thoughts about the Mentality of SkyBlock’s Player Base, Why You and Me play SkyBlock, and Why SkyBlock YouTubers are on the wrong Track.

The problem I have with constantly complaining about how slow updates roll out, and how small they are, is that in my eyes, a lot of people don't understand how complicated it is to design and develop updates, me included, to some extent.
That's understandable, game development is incredibly difficult in every creative aspect.Your response of "just get a job there and do it yourself" was just incredibly passive agressive and childish.
It's true though. Like I've stated in the thread (at least I hope so), the same can be said for Vanilla Minecraft. Some may consider it to be boring, as it's just "Gather resources, get some gear, kill the Ender Dragon, that's it", but other people have proven that Vanilla Minecraft is so much more than just killing the Ender Dragon in a boring and simple way. There's always room for creativity, and so is there in SkyBlock. It might be hard to imagine, because we're so used to content that's closely bound to the progression line, but it very much is possible to create fantastic videos without including progression, or by putting the progression aspect aside
I would really love to know what creative Video ideas you could imagine seeing.I feel like most of it has already been done, like island building competitions/ratings,challenge videos and races etc.
The YT channel Trusted makes challenge videos, like his newest video, where he completes dungeons floors without any armor(while playing tank).
I personally cannot imagine any new video ideas.I think the main issue is that skyblock itself confines players.
It's not PVP,which makes it harder to create content like 1v1s,civilization videos etc.The type of stuff you see on Vanilla Minecraft.
100 Days videos would just be more progression again as well.

i feel like the bigger problem is that players dont feel like devs care at all
lets be honest here, most people arent asking for remaking the whole updates because they dont like it, there are just small things like make hotspot last longer or smth that i doubt would take more than 30min
or make stranded work
these could have been done so easily yet its been a month nothing changed

Yeah I've understood that and I've apologized

May I ask if you are German before I answer this question?

Communication between staff members and the player base has been a problem for a long time now, I agree, that's one thing that drastically needs a change

I play skyblock as a form of escapism but maybe thats just me

One problem is that skyblock forces you to grind to do anything in the game (if you find floor 7 fun, you still have to spend hours grinding all the previous floors)

Additionally, almost everything in skyblock is deterministic or barely varies. For example, dungeons have a relatively limited amount of rooms and the f7 boss fight is very linear so once you have seen every room and done the boss a couple times there is no longer any tension there.

Finally, there is like 0 replay value to the game because of how miserable it is to progress in the game and how little varies between playthroughs of the game. (Look at how few people play bingo)

im obviously going to get denied, along with 99% of the players that know what they are talking about so no
Additionally does not help that applications have been closed for about 5(?) months now I believe.

We were given the reasons which I won't say, but I personally did not expect them to be this closed for this long. Maybe they wanted to implement some additional changes that either we weren't told or announced after my leavesure. Couldn't say, but I won't dread on it.

If you are legitimately serious about joining SBN in an attempt to help and make the game better, I would recommend taking the time to submit an application once they're reopened - just read over the questions carefully, answer earnestly and respectfully, and cross fingers. Despite popular consensus, you do have the opportunity to make a difference for the better, even in the smallest of ways.

I do know but nerds as of right now will just outnumber you with nons

Yea I am.Weird question to ask in this context though?
Because it's probably a little easier to explain now that I now. I'm German too, I'll continue in English though, since we're on an english speaking server
As a German playing Minecraft, you've most likely heard of BastiGHG, right? Now, imagine his type of content, but in the form of SkyBlock. Whilst a lot of his videos require changes server side, they can also be done in the form of client side things, probably. And this type of content is what I would consider innovative. Where the viewer, before even starting the video, asks themselves, if what they want to achieve is even possible, and if so, how would they do it?
Of course, his videos are very high-quality, and require a lot of effort, but that's what I'm talking about. If you put in the effort, you'll get great results

Anyone not German here is free to tell me so that I can elaborate more
