With the encouragement of my friend in my guild that has a girlfriend, I have successfully gotten my crush's phone number!

It took me a good while to build up the confidence to do even ask her, and I eventually just kinda realized I had to eventually. (as Tom Cruise said in Top Gun: Maverick, "Don't think. Just do.")

As this is Skyblock, I imagine that there are quite a few other nerds like me who are struggling with the confidence. I thought that since it worked for me, I would pass on my friend's advice just in case it could help anyone else. For those of you who are uncomfortable talking to your crush, do not overthink it. When I was considering asking her I kept thinking of really specific what-if scenarios that kept me from taking a chance. Think about how it seems from their perspective. A friend (hopefully) you know from work/school/etc. wants your phone number. To me, at least, that's awesome! It makes them feel good because you're giving them attention. I actually saw some pretty damn good advice from a youtube comment recently: "Charisma is making other people feel like they're charismatic." If you make your crush feel good about themselves, chances are, they're going to want to be around you.
