Since 0.14 changed Fishing Speed to a player stat, fishing has been a slower experience.
We've added items and content to bring back players' fishing speed back up to the cap!
Moby
Moby, found in the Mushroom Desert island
Moby is a new NPC in the Mushroom Desert, hidden away in the Glowing Mushroom Cave around 206, 43, -500.
They offer a small questline which introduces a new item for fishing: the Chum Bucket.
Chum Bucket in action
Players can now collaborate to gather Chums together and fill buckets to trade with Moby for one of 6 new items.
New Enchants
You can now find the Bobbin's Scriptures very rarely from Yetis, Grim Reapers, Sea Emperors and Jawbus sea creatures.
The scriptures can be crafted with tons of fishing materials into the new Bobbin' Time ultimate enchant:

There is also now Piscary for Fishing Rods unlocked at enchanting level 8.
Piscary VI is available for grabs rarely in the experimentation table.

Ammonite Pet Rework
The Ammonite pet has received 2 changes to its perk.
First, "Not a Snail" speed and defense have been moved to Gift of the Ammonite.
Second, "Not a Snail" has been replaced with "Expert Cave Fisher", which makes the Ammonite useful for underground fishing situations.

- Lava Leeches now rarely drop the Pitchin' Koi for the Pitchin' reforge stone.
- Kuudra Mandibles, wherever they could be, will now also have +10 Fishing Speed.
- Added new equipment pieces using shark and crimson fishing ingredients:

Balance
- Buffed the 'Submerged' reforge to get +5 Fishing Speed.
- Pod Tactics from Dolphin pet 9->10 Fishing Speed and 10->30 blocks range.
- Mining Fiesta now grants +75 Mining Wisdom instead of +1.5x Mining XP.
- Cole's Mining XP Buff now grants +50 Mining Wisdom instead of multiplying the player's Mining Wisdom by 1.5x.
- Buffed Enchanting Skill's Conjurer perk 4->5% extra XP orbs per level.
- This way, you can get 350 levels from a titanic when maxed enchanting.
- Added +20 Vitality to Mosquito Bow.
- Changed Holy Dragon Armor set bonus to use Health Regen:

- Moved the Health Regen from the Jellyfish Pet's Radiant Regeneration to a base stat on the pet and renamed the perk to Radiant Scyphozoa.
