Make selecting reactions on mobile easier​

Here I am with another suggestion about reactions, last time I complained about wrong set pixels which was more of a visual issue, this time I’m complaining about the functionality.

Problems:
I’m often use forums on mobile and I’ve installed it as its own app because of traveling or it just being quicker on mobile. But there is a huge problem when interacting with others, using certain reactions is hard, if you just click on the little icon then you will give a like (that’s why it’s my most given reaction), to give any other reaction ( ) you have to hold the icon for a little bit longer which can already be tricky, then it either doesn’t show up and if you take your finger away from the icon again it gives a like or nothing happens. Sometimes if you hold the icon the bar for more reactions shows but as soon as you want to click one of them it disappears again or nothing happens. I bet I could list lots more of these situations or problems that exist with giving certain reactions on mobile, but I now want to present some solutions that I thought of:

Solutions:
I have thought of multiple different solutions and approaches which could all succeed in different ways:

Solution 1:
You could show every single reaction easily accessible for mobile so it would look like this under each message:

This would of course succeed in the way that you could easily select every single reaction without any problems, it could happen though that people accidentally use reactions because the selection field has gotten to big.

Solution 2:
Not giving a when selecting its icon but instead just always having the window with every other reaction pop up. This is probably one of the worse solutions but definitely a possible one.

Solution 3:
Having only two buttons, one to (like now) give a simple reaction and another to open the pop up window that then shows all the other different reactions. This is probably my favorite solutions of all of them that would probably work the best.

Bonus Solution:
This one should in my opinion be included no matter which of the others are gonna be chosen. Give the user the option to change which way they want it in their settings.

If anyone has anymore solutions or ideas for this thread just comment them and I’ll add them.

The importance of fixing this:
Many forumers use the Hypixel forums on mobile, at least here and there and giving reactions can be really boring when your just giving out the same like reaction as always. Users need to easily access a variation of reactions to interact better. Being able to just with someone and not typing an entire message agreeing with them. Being able to just give them a to show solidarity and then also writing a message to show even more. Showing others that their message was , showing them it was or really . Hyping up their brand new thread with a or giving someone the special . And all of this, no matter from where.

I really hope that this problem will be fixed and I can finally start giving out other reactions which aren’t just likes actively some more.

before if you just tapped the like, the dropdown would appear with all the reactions instead of giving a like, similar to like when you hover over on pc

as shown below the current reaction bar is nearly 2x too large for this to work

What do you mean by that? Was it like that once? When was it changed?

I reported this as a bug back when it started and tbh I think it’s something they can’t fix easily or they’d have done it

It does but the select gui (the menu that pops up quite like share and copy) covers my whole screen so it's a pain to click away without doing something unnecessary

Very much needed. It's very hard to give reactions on phone ever since XenForo changed the way we gave reactions, requiring us to hold the like button to get a list.
