[January 13] Armadillo, Double Jump, and more fixes!

Hi all!

Welcome to our first set of patch notes for 2022! Over the past few weeks we've been working to fix a bunch of issues that cropped up over the holiday period, so here is a nice break down of what we have done so far.

Fixes​

  • Armadillo Pet​

    • Fixed the pet not consuming energy when moving in some directions.
    • Fixed instant breaking of Gemstones regardless of item Breaking Power.
    • Fixed the Tunneler ability breaking string from traps in Crystal Hollows.
    • Prevented item requirements being bypassed whilst riding the pet.
    • Fixed an issue with autopet rules regenerating all the pet's energy.
    • Fixed general issues with the energy increasing faster than it should.
    • You can no longer shoot the Armadillo for points during the Jerry's Workshop event.
    • Fixed collections not being counted when not using Telekinesis on the pet.
    • Improved the responsiveness of the Armadillo Pet when you first get on it.
  • Double Jump Boots​

    • Reworked how items that have the "Double Jump" item ability work to reduce exploits.
    • Instead of double tapping spacebar it now functions by pressing your sneak key (L-SHIFT by default) whilst in the air.
    • Fixed an issue where the Tarantula Pet perk "Eight Legs" was not decreasing the mana cost of these boots and Spirit Boots accordingly.
    • To help with this change the height of the jump has also been slightly buffed.
    • This change will also interfere less with Cookie Buff and Mushroom Soup flight.
  • General Pet Changes​

    • We have taken this opportunity to rework how our internal pet system works to hopefully help prevent any further "pet stacking" issues.
    • This was tested on alpha for a few weeks but be aware that there may be some small differences from the old system to watch out for.
    • Due to this rework we now have the added benefit of Pet Rules now supporting custom items in the UIs properly.
  • Misc​

    • Added distance checks to the following areas:
      • Dungeon Terminal Puzzles
      • Player Profile Menus
    • Added a cooldown to Slayer Minibosses spawning to prevent exploits.
    • Fixed an issue where player-specific mobs such as sea creatures or special zealots would give the pickup priority to the wrong player
    • You can now use "metric suffixes" (e.g 12k or 1m) on the Bazaar price input.
    • Fixed some client crashes when on 1.8-1.13 in certain menus.
    • Fixed some issues with Spirit Boots:
      • Fixed armor slot positioning being wrong.
      • Fixed the Tarantula pet perk "Eight Legs" not affecting the mana cost of this item.
