Like I said, 1.0 won't release all at once. For example we are already almost ready to release the Museum and a couple other features.
Yes it'll take a long time for 1.0 to officially release but a lot of things will happen on the way.

Yes, I assume they're testing it in parts and considering they probably still have a bunch of stuff to code and fix already

Today we have opened the Alpha network in order to test a new 1.0 feature - Museums.

The Museum is located on the Hub at the western base of the Mountain.

Report bugs the usual way (https://hypixel.net/forums/server-bug-reports.35/). Make sure you select Alpha during the reporting process.

The goal of this alpha release is to test the Museum for issues before releasing to main net. Please join alpha.hypixel.net to help us test and let us know of any issues you encounter - especially item wipes. We know some items are missing from the museum - we will add those in soon. Feel free to discuss the update on this thread too.

In a future patch we plan on adding rewards for donating items. For now, the reward is bragging rights.

maybe add a way to remove soul bound, in case you want to trade it to someone in the future (maybe at a price like a millon)

To make the museum useful, could you create an npc or an option to be able to get an item back in case you lose it only if the item was donated before?
Maybe as a punishment for losing it, like pay a quantity of coins depending on the items rarity.

I feel like a really useful addition to these Alpha threads would be something describing how the feature is meant to work, so we -the players/testers- can know what is a bug, and what is a intended feature

this screams dupe to me ngl, could be very buggy, though i havnt seen the way the museums work so idk
