As the name suggests, I think it would be a good idea to add an ability to not be affected by Chumcap Buckets and Totems of Corruption.
It's already widely known that the Chumcap Bucket's ability to add Agarimoo to the sea creature pool lowers the odds for other sea creatures, and many people don't like that. As for the Totem of Corruption, players who don't have strong enough combat stats/fishing rods often prefer to not use the Totem in order to fish and kill more sea creatures faster. And in rare cases some people place totems of corruption to triple the health of very powerful mobs (e.g. Lord Jawbus) to troll others. Since both of these issues have an origin in other people placing these things and you being affected by them, I think it would be wise to, for the sake of QoL, add an option for the player to not be affected.
A player unaffected by a Chumcap Bucket would not have Agarimoo in their pool of available sea creatures. A player unaffected by a Corruption Totem would have all mobs they spawn be uncorruptable (usually sea creatures, but other mobs that are tied to a player as well e.g. mythological creatures)
Here are some ways this could be implemented:
- Toggleable options in the SkyBlock settings menu and commands /togglechumcap /togglecorruptiontotem: cycle between Affected, Unaffected, and Yours Only (only be affected by your own Totems/Chumcaps).
- Right click on the Totem or Chumcap to toggle whether or not you are affected by it.
- Since the previous option is prone to trolls, another possible solution is to choose to be unaffected by a specific player's Chumcaps/Totems.
Side note, the Unaffected option in the first implementation of this idea outlined above is not made redundant by Yours Only because of a rare edge case in which other people want to use your Totem/Chumcap, but you don't. I don't know if this is worth implementing, but it's worth considering at least.
I personally think the first implementation (SkyBlock settings menu) is the best one. What do you think?
