Joined infection game... and was able to fly?

I queued infection and instead of being put into the waiting room, I got put immediately into the game. When I saw my character it was invisible (except for the iron chestplate) and was able to fly around the map with the bow. I'm not sure why this happened; probably something to do with me joining exactly when the game is starting? Even then I'm not sure why I was invisible and why I was able to fly like I was in the lobby. I didn't play around to test what was wrong (since I didn't want to be randomly banned for flying, I left the game) so here's some quick screenshots I took. Anyone have any ideas why this would happen?

Yep! That's what was theorized to have caused this bug in 2021 as well!

When you join an infection game at the last possible second before it starts, you'll become a spectator and be able to fly around the map. You can't use your bow either when it occurs, and you don't count as a survivor or an infected. In replays, players affected by it end up being invisible.

Wow thats kinda crazy the last time this happened was back then. It's a little different this time since I did have my bow and it considered me a survivor. If I had to guess its probably very similar reasoning behind how the 2021 one happened

There's no way...

I'd be interested to know from a code perspective what on earth could have caused this because you can't fly in the pre-game.

Wonder if it's possible to be an alpha in that state because everyone else in the game would be so confused and think they had the shyest alpha known to humanity. XD
