Have not played in 2 years - what's new?

Hey guys!

Due to something I did back in the old days of 2023, I was unable to play skyblock for more than a year. Me and my friends are planning to play again, and I was wondering what has changed since then?

Things I remember:
Hyperion and Terminator were good, prices were inflated for some reason
Crimson Isle was relatively new (2-3 months) and stuff like that

What's the meta, what's the best items, what should we go for? We're gonna grind farming to get money the moment we start, so any tips would be helpful!

dungeons early game meta is bers now
using cleaver variants or/add bol for clear
felthorn is optional for dps

for farming
pest farming is in a bad state
farming itself is also in a bad state
it's only worth doing for sb xp or maybe finnegan

for fishing
they added a new early/mid game fishing island
fishing speed is now easier than scc
idk the new meta yet, idek if it's fully developed

what's the money making method now? back then like maxed gemstone mining with the armadillo was like 70m+ while netherwart farming was like up to 20mil or smth and that was me and my friends plan

give up on farming
it's kinda bad

mining meta also change a lot
im pretty sure they destroyed armadillo mining but im not really a miner so im not sure

iirc the mining meta is glacite tunnel and mineshaft while leveling gdrag

okay well i'm starting from scratch so i dont think gdrag is anywhere close... is farming really that bad? what's wrong with it

what are pests? last time i remember juju shortbow and archer were meta and everyone had to have one and were running like 3 arch 1 mage and stuff

what's like the equivalent of farming nowadays?

Optimal garden farming still makes 20-25m iirc, but now requires brainpower every few minutes. Mining makes a little to a lot more depending on the method, still requires constant brainpower. Combat methods (like kuudra and dungeons) are still king though iirc.

Fishing in the bayou isn't a bad money making method rn and the setup is cheap. Honestly probably fish if you don't have money and mine if you do.
