[September 11] Dye Changes, etc.

The changes listed below might not be live be on alpha at the time of writing, but are planned:
  • Moved all Spooky Sea Creatures into the 1/1M bracket for Midnight Dye and moved Spooky Mobs into the 1/500k
  • Increased the drop chance of each piece of Glacite Armor from 0.25% -> 0.5%
  • Dyes currently in Vincent's Masterpiece will be able to be previewed without going into the Dye Compendium
  • Players with an amount of Nucleus RNG Meter XP that isn't a multiple of 1000 will have their value rounded to the nearest 1000.
  • Reduced Bal's respawn timer to 1 minute, and halved the duration of the spawn/death animation.
    • Though we would like to further reduce how long Bal takes to respawn, complications arose. However, it remains on our todo list.

  • Increased the amount of Abiphone Contact Trios a player may use from 12 -> 15
  • Changes to Polished Topaz Rod

  • Reduced the number of Bloodbadges required to craft the Vampiric Timecharm from 12 -> 6
  • Reduced Hemovibe VII's collection requirement from 80k to 75k Hemovibe
  • Reduced Hemovibe IX's collection requirement from 400k to 250k Hemovibe
  • The Midnight Dye can no longer drop from the Headless Horseman's zombies.
  • Updated the primary recipe for the Portal to the Gold Mines to use smelted ores instead of unsmelted ones. The old recipe is still usable as an alternative.
  • Added the Puzzler to the Royal Palace zone message
  • Added Dwarven O's Metallic Minis to Vanguard-tier Frozen Corpses (50 weight)

Now that the Artist's Abode update has been out for a little while now, we have taken a look at dye drop chances across the board and have decided to make some additional tweaks. This alpha also includes a couple of the mining changes from the last alpha along with miscellaneous QoL and bug fixes.

Drop Rate Changes

  • Periwinkle Dye's drop rate now scales based on mob level
    • Level 1-99 Runic Mobs: 1/500k > 1/500k (unchanged)

  • Dyes can now be previewed directly from the Dye Compendium
  • Updated the Dye Donation menu to better illustrate that Fire Sale Dyes cannot be donated
  • Listed drop chances for a Dye in the Dye Compendium now always show from rarest to most common
  • Added an Anvil to the Artist's Abode so that you can apply Dyes more easily
  • Swapped the positions of the Bucket of Dye and Dye Compendium in Vincent's menu
  • Fixed Holly Dyes dropping from all Gifts, rather than just Red Gifts
  • Fixed not being able to claim the Dark Purple Dye out of a Dark Auction after just winning it in a Dark Auction

there's an achievement for that

the achievement still works, but the point of that is for the item to be consumed, which it now isn't
