Because I don't want to bump the post, here is a dps difference between glacial scythe and yeti sword (tested against the magma cubes on the crimson isle)

the normal hit of glacial scythe did around 264k and just under 300k

glacial scythe shoots about 3 times a second which is about 1.7m dps

yeti sword AT WORST (not hitting the center of the chunk) was doing 1.7m dps and 3.2m dps at best
