    So this thread hasn't been touched for a while, why is that?
    I haven't given up on ChatTriggers. Quite the contrary. Since I last gave an update, I talked about moving domains for an update to CT. Well the update has been rolling out and its cool. Like really really cool. It's honestly more than I expected and I already had high hopes for it.

    ChatTrigger has been completely rewritten from the ground up to be based on JavaScript instead of a proprietary, slow, custom language. This makes it much faster so we can do things like have triggers run every frame and it makes the mod much easier to script for. There are loads and loads of JS tutorials out there and the mod has been built on the idea that everything should be well documented so a detailed javadocs is available.

    Ok great, but where do I download it?
    If you want to try out the beta version of CTjs, I highly recommend that you join the discord. We update the mod regularly and break old module (what we call imports now) with almost every update. That's the fun of having a beta. I use github to explain exactly what those changes will break and how to fix them. Once in the discord, you can find all of the info about CTjs on the website here

    What about the code? you haven't updated the GitHub repo with the new version
    The code for CTjs has been moved to its own team and project on GitHub. The new repo has a lot of cool things including travis and codacy (check the badges in the readme) that aid us in development. Because the code base has been completely refreshed, more devs are able to step in and help with pull requests. Things are getting done fast.

    When will you be out of beta?
    We honestly don't know yet. We will lift the beta tag as soon as we feel comfortable with the way that everything works and we know we aren't going to be breaking every module with the next update. We have a few things slated down for change or addition on the issue page on GitHub that need to get done before we think about releasing a 1.0 which is why we recommend that if you are going to try CTjs that you join the discord (you can find the link on the website)

    Intro

    ___A while ago, actually back in the start of November, I unveiled a mod called QuakePro (here). The idea of the mod was simple. It listened to chat and could play sounds if chat matched any of its triggers. You could play a sound when you threw someone off of the map in skywars or thwarted the rebellion in galaxy wars. A simple concept, but really fun to use. The most powerful part about the mod was that none of those triggers were programmed in by me. I gave that power to the user of the mod! They created and shared their own triggers that made games feel more alive.
    ___This got me thinking. What if the mod could do more than just play sounds? What if a trigger could show a warning message in chat? What if a trigger could display text on the screen outside of chat? Thus, ChatTriggers was born. It started off simple with simple ideas, but things quickly turned advanced as the mod grew and matured. I knew we had something special
    ___Now, ChatTriggers can save parts of chat messages in strings, check values inside of those strings, even do advances programming, all inside of a triggers events! Want a trigger that swaps out /booster queue with clickable names to tip people? easy! Want to check if you killed someone instead of someone else and have that kill message show up longer in a killfeed? simple! Want a custom /f list but all of the pre made ones in mods dont cut it for you? get creative! Nothing is set in stone! you have full control!​

    Is it possible to set if "<end>joined" comes up, that you say something in Chat like "Hey!"

  14. like an auto message? if its a private message, you can use "/trigger add [number] command msg [username] hi!" ;)
    You can use strings to get the username even

    /trigger string create name
    /trigger create chat {string[name]} joined.
    /trigger add [number] command msg {string<name>} Hi!

  17. If anyone is wondering, this mod is 100% compatable with Cecer's Big Chat History mod :D Apparently one of my beta testers *cough* @Ecolsson *cough* has been using the two mods together with no problems at all

    Just a quick update. I won't be able to work on ChatTriggers for about a week and a half because of my dead computer :( but I have a lot planned for when I can start working again :)

    In the mean time, anyone who has downloaded or is thinking of downloading the mod should definitely check out our discord :D lots of friendly people that can help you set thing up and give you some ideas of what the mod is capable of. Trust me, some out of the box thinkers in there. They've done stuff with ChatTriggers that I've never imagined possible!!

    ChatTriggers has been maturing nicely with the beta testers that we have.
    Yes the mod is still very much in beta BUT that is going to change soon!
    As I ramp up for the official release to make ChatTriggers more widely available by posting a thread on minecraft forums and other places, I thought I might as well give a little update here in case anyone wants to jump on board as a beta tester.
