1. Sine the wood singularity came out, the tacticians sword became a viable decent sword. It also makes The Scorpion Foil way better.

Scorpion Foil Stats (With Singularity, no hpb)
    Dmg: 100
    Strength: 200
    Rarity: Legendary
Tacticians Sword Stats (With Singularity, no hpb)
    Dmg: 210
    Strength: 100
    Crit Chance: 20%
    Rarity: Epic

I'm wondering, which one would do more damage? (Take into account reforges)

Scorpion Foil, Strength gives a lot more damage than raw damage. Legendary also makes reforges better than Epic.

Strength increases your base melee damage, the more strength you have, the more damage you deal.

  7. Damage is additive. Strength is multiplicative. Strength is more valuable.

  9. I know this post is old but still wanted to post anyways. Anywho there is quite a difference in how strength is used and how weapon dmg used. The base formula for dmg is (5+wpndmg+str/5)*(1+str/100) by how it looks you might assume that due to how str appears twice, thus being an exponent, mean it's more important but that's not the case due to how they decided the add a str draw back, IE the division applied to str. For example say you have two weapons both dealing 100 damage and grants 100 strength on a player who has 0 strength, now change their values where damage is 200 for one while strength is 200 for the other. The weapon with increased damage will deal 450 final damage while the weapon with increased strength will deal 435. Now increase it again and now the strength weapon wins by 10 final damage. After it needing 200 strength more than the other weapon. The formula they gave does give str an advantage in higher numbers but if we were to have a player with higher str it instead gets weaker, this is due to how the formula is designed. It's benefits smaller adjustments to str more and more ever time, so that +100 flat str increase becomes less and less due to the lead the +100 damage sword has. Now apply this to the question, the Tactician Sword is the damage sword and the Scorpion Foil is the Strength Sword, in this scenario fhe TS wins by a landslide even with SF's raritt increase making it stronger with reforge is still is outshined by the TS, but what about their bonuses as well. The TS has higher Crit chance while the SF has an effect that increases it's damage when it has ben used the block 4 times. Well in that scenario it's up to preference but the Crit increase is better overall due to the amount of damage it can deal compared to SF's special ability, even then it wont always be useful as you need to be hit 4 times, which is around the same as attacking 4 times, so like a mini crit, meanwhile the TS gets crits all the time due to it's effect. Despite that this is still a draw in my opinion as it can potentially be used effectively. In conclusion the Tactician Sword is better.

Scorpion foil does 150% more dmg to spider and its abiltiy makes it vastly superior to tac Sword, once all 4 tickers are depleted you do 150% more Damage.

slayer is literally the reason why you want high damage swords. No normal mob in the game can take the dmg from either tac or scorp, thats why its better.
