Hurray for the best moderation team!
so calling people nonces will get me banned now
So from what I have read here, the moderators are given all the information to make their own decisions. Who audits the moderators to ensure that they are, in fact, using the information they are given to take the appropriate actions? How exactly will this help with the issue of favoritism and bias? This sound like a good start and a useful tool for the members of the staff team who are working in the best interest of the server /community, and the transparency is appreciated, but it does not address the biggest issue. The punishments are still left to staff discretion and that is clearly not working.
I wonder how many lapis, emeralds, and diamonds @Hypixel has...
I better check
Almost 300 lapis, 200/250ish emeralds, 55 diamonds
yes i call hax
See here in the post;
> Is this dude hacking or not?
Yes or No
> System decides punishment + length, not the staff
Thanks for clearing it up, I wasn't fully sure either.
We have very in-depth training and guidelines that all moderators/admins follow and admin team do regular reviews. Every punishment requires evidence that is attached to the ban/mute at any point a person feels a ban/mute is false this evidence is verified during the appeal. It's very easy for a player to say this is a false ban but actually, it's often they didn't read the rules.
A huge step in the right direction, this made me really happy to wake up to.
I wonder what would, if this system was hacked......
Ooh, great job with this update!
I'm pretty sure what they meant is that they are making the actual punishment of players more simple/efficient so that moderators can spend more time actually deciding if they are breaking rules or not, rather than making a decision on the punishment itself or length.
Ow, that's not good at all imo.
This enables moderators to have a biased opinion, while it should be entirely automated and the mod just has to follow an automated system that provides them with a ban length based on their previous bans etc.
(Hope it made sense what I just rambled lol)
When what you say is true, if Moderators have a clear biased opinion, they won't get away with it. Players have a platform to contact people about that, if it does happen. Moderators can be demoted and the player would be fairly punished.
Moderators doing it is much better because of how that players will be banned as deserved, unless what you described happens.
It aliveeee!!!! Aliveeeeee!!!!! Wahahahahahahahahahahahahhaha!!!!!
